Accounting technician

Job Description

Under the direction of the Director of Administration, the person holding this position will be responsible for supporting activities related to accounting operations necessary for the proper functioning of the company and the achievement of its objectives.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Produce documents relating to fiscal and calendar year ends
  • Perform general accounting tasks (payroll, deposit, reconciliation, customer-supplier invoicing, CAR-CAP)
  • Perform monthly financial reports of operations and general ledger entries
  • Develop and control annual and monthly budgets
  • Manage administrative files (staff, group insurance, supplies)
  • Perform all other tasks as defined by the superior

Qualifications and Great-to-have

  • Fluency in French and English, both oral and written
  • College diploma in accounting or a related subject
  • Relevant experience of more than three years in a similar position
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and in particular Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to adapt, versatility, flexibility, synthesis and problem solving
  • Have concern for customer service
